PowerNetizen.com – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto expressed his hope that Indonesia will one day be able to produce its own high-tech products, such as cars, motorcycles, and computers. He made this statement during a speech at the 2024 National Coordination Meeting of Central and Regional Governments, themed “Implementing Asta Cita Towards Indonesia 2024,” held at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC) in Bogor, West Java, on Thursday (November 7, 2024).

“Frankly, in my heart, I cannot accept that the fourth-largest nation in the world, a nation blessed with such great wealth by God Almighty, with all the elements needed to become a developed country, cannot produce cars, cannot produce motorcycles, cannot produce computers. I cannot accept that,” Prabowo said, as quoted from an official statement by Prabowo’s Media Team sent on Saturday (November 9, 2024).

Expressing gratitude for the trust the people have placed in him to become president, Prabowo said he was increasingly motivated to make Indonesia a developed nation. “I am grateful, I thank the people for giving me the opportunity to lead the government of Indonesia for the next five years,” he stated.

“I am grateful because now I am given the opportunity to guide and realize things I consider critical for the survival of the Indonesian nation,” Prabowo continued.

According to him, Indonesia could achieve developed nation status more quickly if all officials shared this mindset. “The decision-makers throughout Indonesia, the fate of our nation rests on your shoulders, on our shoulders,” Prabowo remarked. “I invite you, the 5,000 or so officials, if we are united, if we focus our minds, our intelligence, our experience, and the authority and power we have, and use it for the greatest benefit of our people, I believe Indonesia will advance much faster,” he added.
