PowerNetizen.com – President Prabowo Subianto stated that several Indonesian and Chinese companies will sign contracts worth over US$10 billion.

This was conveyed by President Prabowo during a bilateral meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, China, on Saturday, November 9, 2024.

“Tomorrow afternoon, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will hold an event where there will be contracts in the field of science between Chinese companies and Indonesian companies, totaling more than 10 billion US dollars,” Prabowo said.

Prabowo emphasized that the current level of investment from Chinese companies into Indonesia is substantial.

“I believe this shows collaboration, and also the increasing participation of Chinese companies with Indonesian companies for the benefit of both our countries,” Prabowo added.

Moreover, Prabowo mentioned that Indonesia and China will celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2025.

“I believe next year, when we celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, I would like to convey that cooperation in all fields has shown significant improvement,” said Prabowo.

During the meeting, Premier Li Qiang remarked that when President Prabowo chose China as his first state visit destination after being officially inaugurated as President of Indonesia, it reflected the importance of China-Indonesia relations.

“This visit also reflects the significant attention that President Prabowo and his government place on the development of China-Indonesia relations. Through joint efforts from both sides, China-Indonesia relations continue to improve and enter a new stage in building a community with a shared future,” said Premier Li Qiang.
