Jakarta, PowerNetizen.com – Two local startups, Geosquare and SPUN, are leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to introduce groundbreaking innovations in geospatial data management and international travel solutions. Their success aligns with Indonesia’s status as the third-largest AI user globally, with 1.4 million monthly visits to AI platforms. Currently, 77% of active internet users in Indonesia utilize OpenAI technology across various sectors.

Geosquare: Transforming Geospatial Data Visualization
Geosquare redefines geospatial data analysis by visualizing it as grid-based maps. This approach makes data more accessible, mappable, and analyzable for various applications. For instance, Jakarta can be divided into approximately 264,000 grids, each representing a 50×50 meter area and containing unique information about its location.

“We process the latest mapping data from multiple sources into rich, flexible visual formats. This solution supports governments and businesses in population mapping, property distribution analysis, satellite imagery insights, and more,” explained Benny Emor, Founder & CEO of Geosquare.

Geosquare’s vision is to become the “YouTube” of geospatial data, allowing users to easily acquire targeted insights. One practical application involves a major Indonesian bank using Geosquare’s maps to digitally evaluate loan applicants with property collateral, streamlining the process and reducing costs. The solution is also utilized by F&B businesses to assess population distribution and identify market potential for new outlet locations.

SPUN: Accelerating Visa and Residency Services
Meanwhile, SPUN offers an AI-powered solution to streamline visa and residency applications for both individuals and corporations. Currently, SPUN serves users from 198 nationalities for visa applications to Indonesia and assists Indonesians in applying for visas to over 70 countries.

“With SPUN technology, the verification process, which used to take 40 minutes on average, now only takes 3-4 minutes for certain visa types. We also provide a money-back guarantee if the visa application is rejected,” said Dilla Anindita Purnawan, Co-founder & CPO of SPUN.

SPUN features tools such as Chatbot Assistant, Commerce, and Dashboard, enabling users to access visa information, submit applications, and verify documents automatically. The startup plans to expand its services to other Asia-Pacific countries, targeting a visa-related market valued at over USD 36 billion annually.

Supported by Antler
Both startups are graduates of Antler’s residency program, designed to build strong business foundations and high-quality digital products.

“As their first investor, we are proud to support Geosquare and SPUN in their journey to create positive impacts and set new standards in geospatial data and cross-border solutions,” said Agung Bezharie Hadinegoro, Partner at Antler Indonesia.

Through their innovations, Geosquare and SPUN demonstrate how AI technology can deliver impactful, practical solutions to modern societal needs.
