PowerNetizen.com – Ukraine’s postal service, Ukrposhta, has launched a stamp featuring President Prabowo Subianto. Ukrposhta is the national postal agency that provides postal, logistics, financial, and trade services for individuals and businesses in Ukraine.
The release of this limited-edition stamp was initiated by the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) The Ukrainian Initiative. The head of The Ukrainian Initiative is Yurij Kosenko, an Indonesianist, a term used for foreign nationals with an interest in Indonesia’s social, political, and cultural affairs.
“The hope is that the diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Ukraine will grow closer and more mutually beneficial in the future,” wrote the Indonesian Embassy in Ukraine (KBRI) on its official Instagram account @indonesiainkyiv on Friday.
Kosenko stated that the initiative to feature Prabowo on the stamp was meant as a symbol of friendship between Indonesia and Ukraine.
Additionally, the stamp is a form of respect and appreciation for Prabowo, who became Indonesia’s new leader after being inaugurated as president on Sunday, October 20, 2024.
Indonesia’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Arief Basalamah, said he personally received the stamp featuring Prabowo at the Ukrposhta office in Nizhyn City in October 2024. He expressed his gratitude to Ukraine through Ukrposhta and The Ukrainian Initiative for creating this special edition stamp in honor of Prabowo.
